Engineering Overview

Conceptualized and structurally engineered by Dr. (Er.) Prabeer Kumar Dash following the laying of its foundation in 2003, the majestic five-storey monastery built over 10 acres was completed in 2008 as the largest Buddhist monastery in South Asia. Built in traditional Atanpuri Buddhist architectural style with modern earthquake-resistant concrete-and-timber framing, the landmark complex was formally consecrated and inaugurated on January 12, 2010 by Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama.

• Site drainage, water supply network, and campus road alignment
